Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov
famously known as “The Eagle”, is a revered figure in mixed martial arts (MMA). The first Russian and Muslim to win the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title, he holds an unmatched record of 29-0, the longest undefeated streak in the sport’s history.
Born in Dagestan, Khabib began his combat sports journey at age eight under the tutelage of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Throughout his career, he has defeated top UFC fighters such as Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, Michael Johnson, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Conor McGregor.
Following the passing of his father in 2020, Khabib announced his retirement after winning at UFC 254, a fight dedicated to the memory of his father. He shifted his focus to coaching after his retirement.
Additionally, Khabib founded Eagles MMA and promoted the Eagle Fighting Championship (EFC). In 2023, he stepped away from the sport entirely to devote himself to his family.
I don’t fight for the money.
I fight for my legacy. I fight for history. I fight for my people.
